Peter Parker has finally managed to piece together the pieces of his once broken life and strike a balance between his relationship with Mary Jane and his responsibilities as Spider-Man. But our young heroes face more challenges. Peters’ old friend Harry Obsurn takes revenge on Peter; takes on his late father’s cloak as the “New Goblin,” and Peter must capture Uncle Bence’s real killer, Flint Marco, who has become his greatest enemy to date, The Sandman. All hope seems lost when Peters’ suit suddenly darkens and his army is greatly strengthened. But it also begins to significantly improve the much darker qualities of Peter’s personality, which are beginning to wear out. Peter must reach deep inside to free the loving hero he once was, to overcome the darkness within himself, and to face not only his greatest enemy, but also Dark-Spidey.
Peter Parker is an unhappy man: after two years of fighting crime like Spider-Man, his life begins to fall apart. The girl he loves is engaged to someone else, his grades are falling, he can’t keep his job, and on top of that, the Daily Bugel brutally attacks him, claiming that Spider-Man is a villain. He reached the breaking point and gave up the life of crime fighters once and for all. But after a failed merger experiment, the eccentric and obsessive scientist, Dr. Otto Octavius, becomes the super villain Dr. Octopus, in short Doc Ok, with four long tentacles as extra arms.
